Throne in the Dark by A.K. Caggiano
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
This book came highly recommended by someone I follow on social media and because it promised a mix of humor with fantasy and romance I had to give it a try.
I’ll be honest, I wasn’t sold right away. It took me a few chapters to start enjoying the story but as the plot and the characters developed I found myself liking it more and more. Needless to say I already have the second in the series ready to go.
I loved the characters including the imp, Kaz who was as hilarious as he was pitiful. The character arc was very well done for both main characters and the plot was a delicious mixture of silliness, great world development, romance, and even mystery.
I heard the book be compared to The Prince’s Bride and I can see the resemblance at some levels without taking away from its originality.
I loved the super-slow burn romance and the themes throughout the story. So looking forward to the next one.
