First Witches Club by Maisey Yates
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
I picked this book on a whim and I was surprised by how much I liked it. Being in the middle of a divorce after being married for a lifetime, I totally connected with the women in this story and learned from them. Their struggles became my struggles and their revelations about themselves and life in general helped me grow as well.
These women were able to express feelings I have that I could not explain. A memorable part for me is when one of them says that when your marriage fails, everything you have lived while you were married fails as well. Every memory becomes a question: was it even real?
My only criticism about this book is that at times the descriptions of their feelings went on for too long, too wordy, too overelaborated.
Other than that this was a great story about female empowerment and hope. The romance(s) were sexy and heartfelt as well.
Highly recommend.
