The Shippers – Book Review

The ShippersThe Shippers by Katherine Center
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I have become a fan of Katherine Center and her rom coms. She manages to write a closed-door romance that is both sexy and funny. There isn’t a single boring moment in this story and amongst all the screwball antics of the main characters and their families and friends some serious themes are addressed in perfect symbiosis with the rest of the plot.
I totally “shipped” JoJo and Cooper throughout the whole story even though at times I wanted to slap them, lol. The cast of supporting characters is just as endearing and funny: Mom and Dad, sister and her new husband, her lustful cousin… loved them all.
Center is now one of my one-click authors.
Totally recommend this laugh out loud romance. It has everything: Sexual tension, humor, a bit of mystery, family love all wrapped up in a destination wedding aboard a cruise ship. Too good to miss.

P.S.- A word of praise for Patti Murin who narrated the audio book to perfection.

P.S.2 – In the past, Center annoyed me a little with her long epilogues which I thought were unnecessary for the enjoyment of the story. In this case, I liked it a lot (I also liked the author’s acknowledgements. Very interesting to find out how this books came about) because I thought it really added to the ending of the story.
