When the Moon Hatched – Book Review

When the Moon Hatched (Moonfall, #1)When the Moon Hatched by Sarah A. Parker
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Great book, great writing (thank you for validating my opinion that good and lyrical writing still counts), amazingly well-developed and original world and its lore… loved it.

A few peeves: Unnecessary fragments (one here and there for emphasis works, too many become annoying and break the flow) throughout the book, and the idea that the main characters have to be absolutely gorgeous and/or be giants to be attractive really annoyed me.

A few favorites: Kaan’s love and respect for Raeve are delicious, the Moonplumes are chef’s kiss, the ending was the best and I can’t wait to read the conclusion (already in my library).
Highly recommend. However if you like easy reading only this is NOT for you.

(note: Don’t let the sheer size of it intimidate you. Even though it’s a massive book with writing that takes longer to digest, it was so good, I read it pretty quickly and found myself staying up way past bedtime to read one more chapter)
